But as luck would have it, in 1994 their paths crossed again and they have been inseparable ever since. Growing up as a young girl in Chippewa Falls, Kaaren was raised by an incredibly hard working family. Her grandparents were dairy farmers and her father was the high school principal, so Kaaren was always held to higher standards. She was instilled early on with a strong work ethic, a drive to succeed and a sense of family values. Later, when she became a mother herself, she instilled these values into her own children and served as a role model for them by always trying to improve herself. Kaaren attended nursing school because she wanted to help others with their ailments and worked in internal medicine for almost 20 years. Like Kaaren, Chris has spent most of his life in Wisconsin and grew up with the same belief that success is a result of putting in hard work and commitment. Throughout his younger years in school, he had a paper route that helped develop his entrepreneurial skills. As he branched out into real estate after college, he remained in contact with many of these same people.
